Gate Access Control Installation in Big Rapids & West Michigan
Let family, workers and deliveries through your gate without handing out remotes. Our team adds keypads, fob readers, video intercoms and the network link to reach them, tied into the gate opener you already have.

What we install at the gate
We mount a keypad, card or fob reader, or a video intercom on a post at driver window height, and wire it to an access controller that holds your users and schedules. For UniFi systems we use the UniFi Access Gate Hub, which supports swing, slide and barrier gates plus one pedestrian side door, with readers and the UniFi Access Intercom for PIN, fob, mobile and video calls.
Tied into your existing opener
Most gate operators accept an open signal from an access device. We connect to the operator you already have, so a valid code, fob or phone tap sends the open command and the operator handles motion and its own safety sensors. If your gate needs new line-voltage power, an electrician handles that part and we coordinate with them.
Reaching a gate far from the house
Gates are often hundreds of feet from the nearest network. We bring a connection out with cable in conduit or a point-to-point wireless link, so the keypad, intercom and a gate camera all stay online. Where existing twisted-pair wire already runs to the gate, UniFi's 2-wire PoE extenders can often reuse it.

See every entry
Adding a security camera at the gate lets each entry line up with video. With supported UniFi Protect AI cameras, the Gate Hub can also open for approved license plates.
Open the gate from your phone
With a networked controller or intercom, visitors can call you from the gate, and you can see who is there and let them in from the app, whether you are in the house, out in the field or away.
How a gate project works
We start with a free estimate at the gate: the operator model, power, distance to the network and how people use the entrance. You get a clear, itemized quote with no required monthly fees. After install we add your users, test every credential and show you how to manage it.
Frequently asked questions
Can you add a keypad to my existing gate opener?
Usually, yes. Most operators have inputs for an access device, so we add a keypad, fob reader or intercom and wire it to the opener you have.
Do I need to trench to get network to my gate?
Not always. Where there is line of sight we use a point-to-point wireless link, and existing wire can sometimes be reused with 2-wire PoE extenders.
Can I give someone a temporary code?
Yes. You can add and remove users, set schedules and issue temporary codes from the app.
What happens in a power outage?
That depends on the gate operator. Many operators have battery backup and can be set to stay closed or open without power; we review this during planning.
