Mounting with a clear view of the sky
Starlink needs an unobstructed view of the sky, and trees or rooflines in its field of view cause dropouts. We check the site with Starlink's obstruction tool before choosing a spot, then mount the dish on the roof, a pole or a wall bracket, sealing every fastener and penetration.
Clean cable runs
We route the Starlink cable along the building with a drip loop and a sealed entry, then place the router and power supply in a protected spot indoors. No cables through windows or door jambs.
Whole-property Wi-Fi
The included router covers a typical home. For larger homes, shops, barns and outbuildings, we connect Starlink to our own network and Wi-Fi equipment, and use point-to-point wireless links to carry the connection to buildings across the property.
Backup internet for businesses and farms
If you already have internet, Starlink makes a strong backup. We set up a router with two internet connections that switches to Starlink automatically when the main line goes down and back again when it returns, so phones, cameras and card readers stay online.
How a project works
We start with a free estimate to check the sky view, the cable path and the coverage you need. You receive a clear quote, and FineLine does not charge a required monthly fee for the systems we install. Starlink hardware and service are ordered from Starlink in your name, and the service is billed by Starlink. We are an independent installer and not affiliated with Starlink.
Frequently asked questions
Can you hide the wires for a wall-mounted TV?
Yes. Where the wall allows, we run the wiring inside the wall to a recessed plate so no cords show.
Can you add outdoor speakers to my deck or patio?
Yes. We mount weather-rated speakers under the overhang and run the wiring cleanly to your audio system.
